Problems (and Solutions):
1. Is your silent switch on? It’s really easy to knock it (we’re looking at you, Aunt Katie). It’s the little switch on the side of your device next to the + and – buttons. Toggle the switch to see if it’s ‘OFF’.
Not all apps obey the silent switch. Kalley’s Machine does. So you may have other apps which have audio while the silent switch is active. We think being able to kill the sound easily on a kids app is a pretty good feature.
2. Did you accidentally turn the volume down with the – button?
3. Did you turn down the volume in the app? Inside Kalley’s Machine, click the menu at the top (the triangle) and make sure all the sliders are way to the right.
4. If all else fails, restart the app. If you don’t know how to do that, look at this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
We resolved this issue in version 1.0.2. If you have not updated, try that first to make sure you have the latest version.
If the updated doesn’t fix it, some users have been able to solve the problem by completely powering down the device and restarting. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
